Art Outside
Art Outside was an annual arts and music festival in central Texas from 2006-2018. I started participating in AO as an exhibiting artist in 2006. In 2007-08 I exhibited work and also worked as a production manager. In 2009 I took on the role of creative producer and creative director. As our festival grew in attendance and recognition, our production team likewise grew and the need for more specialized roles within the production team became necessary. In 2010 I became the director of the art crew which entailed creative direction, creative production, and art curation for the 200+ artists who exhibited their art at our festival each year. I worked cross-departmentally with our festival director, music director, performance art director, workshop director, site-ops team, green team, etc to create an immersive festival experience for many thousands of attendees over the years.
